King of the Yeet

Project

This game prototype is a university project where we had less than a month to pitch, prototype, create and polish a small video game in teams of 4-5.

  • First week was dedicated to brainstorming ideas and concept. The goal was to find an easy to implement and fun to play small concept which would be reduced to its core component.
  • Second and Third weeks were dedicated to coding. We had to do the hole project on Unity.
  • Final week was dedicated to visual polish and trailer creations.

Our game pitch was a 3D Bomberman x Super Smash Bros, where you have to push the opponent off the arena by throwing bombs at them.

Contribution

In our team I had the roles of Code reviewer and development lead.

I developed the aiming system and other gameplay systems at first and then focused on the multiplayer integration of all the developments (with Unity mirror). I finally took care of the arena layout and visual post processing.
